Nicki Minaj to be the Newest Spokesperson for Viva Glam
Mac Cosmetics has announced the new stars of its Viva Glam campaign, which benefits the MAC AIDS Fund. Along with Ricky Martin, rapper Nicki Minaj will be the newest spokesperson who will represent the 2012 Viva Glam campaign that will launch in February of next year.
This is not the first time Minaj has teamed up with Mac for a successful outing. She released a limited edition “Pink 4 Friday” lipstick last year that reportedly flew off the shelves.
Minaj and Martin are currently shooting the adverts with Dave LaChapelle in Miami. To date, Viva Glam’s lipsticks and lipgloss have already helped raise over $200 million for the MAC AIDS fund, donating 100% of the sales to fight HIV/AIDS.
Minaj and Martin are replacing previous faces like superstars Lady Gaga, Cyndi Lauper and Fergie. With the combination of La Chappelle’s creativy and Minaj’s crazy energy, this visuals for this ad campaign are expected to be nothing short of epic.
